How long does the accreditation process take?

Created by EAHEA Support, Modified on Tue, May 27 at 1:13 AM by EAHEA Support

The duration of the accreditation process depends on the completeness of the application, the readiness of the institution, and the type of accreditation requested.

On average, the process takes between 4 to 8 weeks from the time of complete application submission. This includes time for document review, clarification requests, internal assessments, and final decision-making.

In some cases—particularly when institutions are well-prepared—the process may conclude faster. However, if EAHEA evaluators require additional documentation or if institutional reforms are needed, the timeline may be extended.

EAHEA prioritizes thoroughness and accuracy over speed to ensure quality standards are properly evaluated and upheld.
